Is there any other extensions I should be using to make this complete user registration. thx for your help

In some cases, if you fill in the From Display Name, the email will not be sent, try leaving that blank.

Have you set a redirect page for if look up passes and if look up fails? Which one are you redirected to?

check with the host to see if they can look into the SMTP server error logs to see why the email is not being relayed.

hello Jason,

ok this is for another site I am working on, that I need a complete registration, login, forgot password, logout.
registration works, info in db, can login no problem, but when I go to forgot email I am not receiving an email.

when I leave the email form blank, nothing happens

when I fill my email address in (one in db) the page redirects to login page, but still no email

Thx for your help

Sounds like you do not have a redirect page for if the lookup fails, but the redirect page if the lookup passes is the login page.

check with the host to see if they can look into the SMTP server error logs to see why the email is not being relayed.

Jason,

If you double click the Security Assist Email Password server behavior, there is a setting for the From Display name and the from address, Leave the from display name blank.

Jason,
ok getting closer, I am receiving mail now, I think it was with the host, did not change the display name thing. Now when received mail the pw is encrptyed, it is suppose to be 40 characters long. Also noticed there is an red ! mark next to update records(members) in the members_EmailPW.php, tried to fine out what thats about, but no luck, Thx again Roy

Double click email password server behavior. On the last step, you can configured ho the email is sent. by default it will send the password from the recordset. remove the password reference and click the Plus button to select the NewPW session variable which contains the unencrypted password.

Is the new password being store in the database correctly?

If so, ignore the red exclamation mark. That only means there *may* be a problem, if it is working correctly though, you can ignore it.

Jason,
ok it seems to be working pertty well, I found 4 lines of

<?php require_once('Connections/memberAdmin.php');?>

should only need 1, so I removed the 3, now the red ! mark is gone,

Ok I will pick up on this next week, off for the weekend, enjoy what time you have off, and thx again for everything, Roy
