Possible to do an online e-learning program purchase?

I want to see if this is possible. I have a client who wishes to sell an online e-learning program. It would be the only "product/program" available at the time but may add more in the future. I have a couple scenarios in which I am looking at. Both cases, the user has signed in using Security Assist.

1. Use eCart for the purchase, have it do its thing, send an email to the purchaser using UE with the confirmation/order number, provide a link in the email that would take them to a portal page and use that confirmation/order number to gain access to the e-learning program.

2. After the user has made a purchase using eCart and is successful, it redirects them to the e-learning program page. It knows that they have successfully made a purchase for the program.

In both cases, the user can gain access at anytime to the e-learning program by using their login username and password and have purchase the program. Access denied, even if they are logged in, if they haven't purchased the program. I imagine I would need some kind off error page to say they need to purchase the program in order to access as it.

Is this something that is possible using the the variety of software that you provide? I imagine the Web Developer Suite could do the trick?

Or is there a different approach or scenario that is possible?
