Server upgrade questions

The server gods want me to move all my domains to new machines. Please review these upgrade suggestions and let me know if anything will interfere with any WA extensions including DataAssist or PowerCart installations. Also, what version of php is OK to use? I am currently using 7.1 on servers.

We checked the server and I could see that the server is having MySQL version 10.2.44-MariaDB. If you wish to upgrade the current MySQL version to a higher version we can do this for you. Please note that some MySQL functions and methods that are supported in older versions of MySQL are not supported in newer versions. So, the applications that are using such deprecated functions will not work properly after the MySQL upgrade.

Please note that once MySQL is upgraded, it cannot be downgraded. If you wish to downgrade the MySQL version, the only option will be full VPS restore. So we suggest you take a backup of all MySQL databases before the upgrade.

Also, I could see the current OS version of your server is CentOS Linux 7. cPanel & WHM version 110 will be the final release that supports CentOS Linux 7. Support for this version is scheduled to end on June 30, 2024

We strongly recommend migrating to AlmaLinux 8. It is the recommended operating system to ensure compatibility with the newer releases of cPanel & WHM. Migrating to AlmaLinux 8 will help maintain a stable and supported environment for your cPanel installation.
