Set up your site layout / template

Use the site-building wizard to quickly create a website from any of Design Extender's included site layouts (website templates).



Or create your own site layout, using either a page layout you created with Design Extender's CSS tools (formerly CSS Sculptor) or your own custom Dreamweaver template. You can even use one layout for the home page and one layout for the rest of your site. If you create your own site layouts, you can save them as site layout presets for use on your other Dreamweaver websites. Architect and customize the pages in your site

Use one of the nine site type presets (corporate, non-profit, personal, etc.) or specify a custom set of pages for the wizard to generate. For each page, you can pick from Design Extender's many page types or you can even design your own. Custom site types and custom page types can be saved as presets for reusing on other Dreamweaver websites.

Select if any pages should be excluded in your navigation; your menus will be automatically created in your template as the wizard generates your pages. The pages are built with standards compliant code, providing a great foundation for search engine optimization.

Generate a pre-built content management system

Check a checkbox to make your entire site powered by a full-blown content management system. When you build your pages, you can choose to exclude any pages from creating content areas to be managed by the CMS. You can also specify any pages you want to be used as CMS templates so that whomever manages the website's content from the CMS can create new pages based on that template. Use the Color Manager for site-wide edits

Our handy Color Manager wizard is integrated into the site-building wizard so that you can quickly edit your site's colors and images while you are building your site.
