Photo resize on upload?

The powergallery does resize the images. It creates 4 different versions for the different sizes shown in each gallery view. It doesn't conserve size however, since it keeps a copy of the original image so that it can show the full size view, and so that if it needs to create more size variations in the future it can use the original instead of using a copy of a copy.
