Even though I got it to do what I needed it to do, it's not working the way it's supposed to!!
Right now there is no validation error showing even when there should be because I deleted the error text to get it to show properly on form load.
So, what I'm saying is this really isn't "solved" just because I found a way to work around the problem. I think there's something wrong with the "short" registration templates. The other short registration I tried before this one did the same thing.
