Pro Maps Coordinates not working

The destination type-coordinates doesn't seem to be working correctly. The Flag displays in the general area of the correct coordinates but not exactly. The display seems to be in general 10 to 50 miles off.

var address_1 = {
street: '',
city: '',
state: '',
zip: '',
country: '',
infowindow: 'default',
infowindowtext: '<span style="font: 12px Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: black;"><strong>Coordinates:</strong><br />(9.995, -84.211357)</span>',
full: '9.995,-84.211357',
isdefault: true,
addressType: 'coordinates',
loop: '',
latitude: '9.995',
longitude: '-84.211357',
markerStyle: 'Google Traditional (flat)',
markerColor: 'Pacifica'
};

Yes, google recently updated their API and it started having issues with latitude and longitude coordinates in some cases. We are working on a free update to address this issue which should be available sometime next month.

In the meantime you can post a support incident and they can provide you with code to circumvent the geocoding which is causing the issue.

Post a support incident

Can't post a support incident, their are no products to choose from in the pulldown menu, and you can't continue without one.

That means you are logged into an account with no product purchases. It should show all of the products you have purchased with your account in that list. If you go to your download center does it indicate that user has downloads available? It may also be a bug in the new web site implementation. Let me know if you have orders with this account and still nothing comes up on support and I can look into it further.

Broken Pro Maps Coordinates

I understand by reading this forum that the Google Pro Maps is broken when it comes to using coordinates and I will submit a trouble ticket. However, it would be nice if WebAssist was a bit more proactive and emailed people who bought their software when there was a known issue.

WebAssist does a remarkable job of getting the latest offers, new products, sales pitches etc. to me via email. Notification of known issues with WebAssist software I own via email doesn't happen. This results in me having up web pages with broken maps, discovering the problem days after the fact, spending time trying to correct the broken maps, and finally coming to this forum to discover a known issue. Not good.

I also have an issue with the fact in San Pedro, California Zip codes 90731 and 90732, Google has decided to make some addresses in Los Angeles and others in San Pedro, although both Zip codes are San Pedro. I'm going to have to go through and correct a lot of maps. I'm not a happy camper....

Here is an example of a Lighthouse being moved from the LA Harbor to the Hills above Beverly Hills/ Brentwood.

Thank you for your feedback. We will have an update for Google maps available sometime next month to address these and other issues we have had. We are also exploring the best way to notify customers of known issues.
