Hotspot linking

Dear All,
I am creating a store for a professional wildlife photographer. As well as using the Categories / Products to navigate around the site, he would like to put up a map of the world on the homepage, and have links from different hotspots (created in Dreamweaver) to pages on the site.

The problem is the quantity of products ~ there are over 5000 different pictures in 45 different subcategories.

Has anyone done this before? Any useful suggestions about this "wishlist" item from my customer would be greatfully received.

Assuming I understand you correctly it is not that difficult to do providing you have been logical in arranging your store;-)

The format to select a catagory/product is similar to

Products_Detail.php?ProductID=7

So providing you can workout the product Id realtionship to your catagory/product you just need to make the code above your link (substituting your details of course)

As a total off topic are you using Paypal express? and have you got it working?

Thanks for the pointers Ian. I will be seeing the customer on Friday, to find out where this feature is on his MoSCoW list. I might try going to a subcategory page, and displaying the products.

Paypal ... not got there yet. But come the day ...
