Forum Cookies Issues

I am sure Joe has a reason for the cookies to expire....unlike most forums I frequent. Another tedious aspect of timed cookies is that after having to log back in several times a day, my post shows as new even though I marked the forum read. Those admin settings are very un-natural to any and every forum I frequent. Just saying....
