CSS Menu Writer and SiteAssist Professional

CSS Menu Writer and SiteAssist Professional

In many cases, the Menu buttons generated by SiteAssist Professional need to be modified or replaced by CSS Menu Writer. When the site is modified I lose the new menus.

Seems like the menu buttons have to be manually deleted and then inserted using CSS Menu Writer. The Style can be brought up from a saved present, but not the content.

Am I missing something?

You are not missing anything. We will be adding stored content presets to the next version. Currently the style can be saved as a preset and not the content.

We will also be making updates to site assist so that things are not overwritten as often, which will also help address this issue.

Using CSS Menu Writer and Template updating

When using CSS Menu Writer in SiteAssist Pro, the home page seems to work correctly, by deleting the existing SiteAssist Pro menu buttons and then adding CSS Menu Writer Generated buttons.

However, when delete the buttons from the siteassistprotemplate.dwt and insert a new CSS Menu Writer Menu 1)appears to be correct on the template 2)confirms updating all the pages that are based on the template, 3)the pages are not updated correctly.

What is the problem/solution?

I am not familiar with this problem.

Please post a support incident with detailed instructions on how to reproduce the problem. Make sure to include the DW version, extension versions, and OS. Somebody will be able to look into reproducing the problem to determine the issue.
