Email Option in eCart

I am setting up my checkout through eCart's Checkout Wizard and I also have Universal Email installed. Although in the Checkout Wizard the option does not come up for me to configure the Email Receipt option.

What am I doing wrong? How do I get that option to come up?

The option to configure the email receipt will only be available if you select one of the Local Checkout methods.

If you select one of the remote checkout methods, the option is not available, this is because most remote checkout methods do not process transactions in real time. Most remote cehckout methods place the transaction in a queue to be processed on a first come first served basis. The Gateway will handle sending the receipt email once the transaction is processed through the merchant bank successfully.

Thank You

Thanks for your relpy.
I am not sure which checkout method I have. Where do I go to find out and/or change that option?

Thanks again.

Does the user enter their credit card number on your Site? If yes, then you are using a local checkout method.

If the user is directed to the payment gateway site to enter payment information, then you are using a remote checkout method.

to change the checkout method, you would need to delete the existing checkout pages and re run the checkout wizard.
