Shipping Options
I want to be able to only offer USPS & UPS shipping. What do I need to do in order to get this done? Do I delete the other shipping options in the Global file or just leave blank?

The way powerstore works is that you specify one type of shipping that you want using this variable:
$WAGLOBAL_Shipping
Set it to 1 for UPS, 2 for FedEx and 3 for USPS.
You will only need to fill out the setting information for the type of shipping you want to use, so you can leave the others blank.
I actually have the same question as Kathy, but when I read the response, I realized that the question wasn't answered (unless the answer is that the option doesn't exist).
Can you please, clearly, let me know if more than one shipping option is available (i.e. USPS AND UPS- as Kathy mentioned)? Having more than one shipping option is a fairly common feature with most online stores.
It is possible to have more than one shipping quote working at a time, however how you want it implemented will determine what steps you need to take.
If you would like your user to be able to select one shipping provider versus another you can add a select list, then on the confirm page you set the value for the $WAGLOBAL_Shipping variable depending on what the user selects. You can also make is so both are applied in the cart. Please describe what you would like to have in place from the perspective of the user so we can help you get it going.
Great. I would like to have the customer to have the option to choose between:
USPS: priority mail or first class
UPS: ground, 2nd day, overnight
If it helps facilitate any of the changes, I do have eCart.
To create the select list for the user to select the service type you will make use of eCart. There are snippets for the service type select lists. You will need to incorporate these into your checkout page, then update the shipping quote server behavior to use this new value on the confirm page.
You will also need to have hidden form elements for these select lists on the confirm page, the elements should have the same name as the select list and the values should be set to the posted select list.
There is one more part to this which is selecting the main service provider. Since this is determined by the globals variable $WAGLOBAL_Shipping you will need to update the value of this session variable based on the user selection. One way you can do this would be to have the two select lists on the page and have an empty value for the first option. You can then just check to see if there is a value for the select lists for that service, if there is then set the global variable accordingly.
If you need any help with this last part just let me know and I will be glad to help you out.
Would this work the same for eCart as with Powerstore?
The idea would be the same if you were only using eCart. When you configure your shipping quote server behavior you can use the lightning bolt to select the service type select list, this will ensure that the value the user chooses will be the service the quote is returned for.
