need to change from email address

I need to change the "from" email address for the email password screen. How do I do that?
I have search all the PHP files for email address previously entered and cannot find where it is stored. I don't want to run the wizard again as I don't want new pages created.

Also, I am assuming if someone (not a valid user) tries to login and gets sent to the email password page, which they then fill in with their own email address, they would not get sent an email as they are not a valid user. If this is not so, how does it work?

It should work as you expect. There is a server behavior applied on the forgot password page. Double click on it to change any settings.
