Hi Guys, will the new MySQLi Server Behaviors work ok with ecart5?

No, eCart 5 will not be able to use data sets created with the MySQLi server behaviors.

No. None of the current extensions are mySQLi compatible.

We will be going through our product line starting with Data Bridge and releasing upgrades that are MySQLi compatible.

The Standard Dreamweaver server behaviors are the groundwork for the Current Extensions.

Adobe is deprecating the Server behaviors moving forward, so we needed to recreate them using MySQLi.

The MySQLi Server Behaviors are the groundwork that we will use to implement MySQLi in our other extensions.

The Release of the MySQLi server behaviors is the first step that was needed to get started. Now we will begin working on the other extensions and upgrading them to offer mySQLi support.

Thanks for that Jason. I find the HTML editor and the file upload behavior the handiest of all when building CMS systems. What would the time frame be to getting this these talking to the mySQLi

Appreciate it may not be possible to give an estimate.

Thanks Jason

Jon

HTML Editor (as long as you don't use the file manager - file manager uses MySQL) and File Manipulation -> File Upload can be used with the Insert and Update behaviors of the MySQLi extension already.

add the HTML Editor field to you page, add the file file field and the Upload File behavior, then when configuring the MySQLi insert or update, select the binding for the HTML Editor field or the FIle upload -> Server File Name for the corresponding columns.

The first extension we will be upgrading is Data Assist, it is the most Database intensive, so will take some time to complete. I don't have an estimate for how long, but it will be at least a few months
