Why is PayPal displaying the calculation of eCart discounts and charges as Shipping and Handling?

I have recently noticed that if eCart is displaying and forwarding both discounts and charges to PayPal, they are displayed as a "Shipping and Handling" option line item under PayPal. However, when discounts are only being applied, but no charges, PayPal displays a "Discount" options line item with the correct discount total.

I understand that PayPal limits the number of option line items it can display at any given time. I also have noticed within my (pp_confirm.php) page that that eCart charges subtracts from any eCart discounts. This appears to be the catalyst for the "Shipping and Handling" option line item which PayPal appears to be displaying.

Is there a way to reword the PayPal "Shipping and Handling" label so it correctly displays the difference between charges and discounts?

My site does not apply taxes or shipping charges. Is there a way to modify these options to display the charges and discounts correctly?
