PayPal IPN Notification error

Hi,

We are getting the following email back from PayPal for this website: http://www.decklube.co.uk

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://www.decklube.co.uk/scripts/ipnnotify.php

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

I've attached the file with the PayPal code from the extension included. Are we doing something wrong with the code? We used the PayPal buy it now button extension

The IPN page is specified on the paypal site in your profile. It is not an issue with the button code. If you aren't using IPN then just log into paypal and remove the IPN preferences.

Hi Ray,

I've searched in the customer's PayPal account profile for IPN settings, but can't find any. They're using a personal paypal account. However, they had a previous version of the website that used eCart and the same PayPal account and never recevied these warning messages on that version. We didn't develop the old version of the website (the eCart version). We are using the buy it now button from the free tools extensions on the new website. Any other ideas, our customer is still receiving these emails from PayPal

In paypal go to profile->Profile and Settings and then find "instant payment notifications" and click on that. That is where you will find the IPN settings. Just turn off IPN and the errors should go away.
