Setting up a new version of eCart with an existing site

I am taking over the management of a new site which was created using eCart. I have purchased and installed eCart in dreamweaver CS3, but whenever i try to do anything i get the message "No cart objects are available for this site."

I understand that i need to register the site with this eCart, but cannot seem to do it. I have opened all of the product pages checkout cart etc, and clicked on the buttons but all i get it the same alert box.

Can anyone help?

There is a couple of things that could be causing this issue.

Make sure that you have a WA_eCart folder in your site. And if you open any of the page, the link to the eCart folder is correct.

Make sure that you are using the same eCart version that the site was created with. for example if the site was created with eCart 3, then you will need eCart 3 to make your changes.

In the Server behaviors panel (Window -> Server Behaviors) do you see an eCart object listed?

Thanks for your help.

Yes the eCart folder is present and I assume the cart items must be linked correctly because the cart is functioning normally for our customers.

I understand the cart was created using 4.0.* and i am now using 4.5 - will this be causing the issue and if so what is the best solution to this?

Are you able to see the eCart object listed in the Server Behaviors Panel?

Using eCart should not cause any issue because you are still using the same version.

In the Server Behaviors Panel there are several eCart Objects, but the top one is called "eCart Object (eCart1)"

When i double click this i get the error message "While Executing time in WA eCart object.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
