Using DataBridge with Bluehost and Failure to make database connection

I am trying to use DataBridge with Bluehost. I have no problem uploading files, but when I go to connect to my database on Bluehost I get a message: "The files from the _mmServerScripts folder are for the server model PHP-MySQL. You try to connect to a database using a different server model. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Bluehost and they tried changing the PHP version to 7.0. Could this be a PHP or MySQL compatibility issue? I know I'm using the correct login information, so that is not the problem. Thanks. What should I do?

This is probably an issue with your Dreamweaver site settings. You have to have a testing server set up and the url to the testing server is probably incorrect. Perhaps you have http:// instead of https://

Continuing Database Connection Problem with DataBridge

Thank you for your response. I've been working on the site settings but still haven't succeeded in connecting to my database with DataBridge. I'm now getting the message: "MySQLi Connection Error#: Access denied for user 'my db username' @ 162.241.186....' (Using Password: YES)" The server address is not the one for my site or for where I'm connecting from. I'm not clear as to what it is.

I've carefully quadruple checked all of the settings and the username and password to make sure they are correction, but I still get this message. I would appreciate any further advice.

The one settings issue I'm questioning is whether I need to type something in the root directory line of the site settings. The site connection works with nothing in that line, and when I try to populate the line it quits connecting. I've investigated what should go in the root directory line and tried every combination I can think of, but since it works I've left it blank. Could this be the issue?
