Getting Started Guides directory

Getting Started Guides directory

I still can't download anything from the:
getting-started-guide/ directory.

I tried the right-click save trick with IE and FF using Windows and Linux and I just get a File Not Found error a few minutes into the download. The other PDFs download without problems.

Does anyone have copies of:
css_sculptor_3_gsg.pdf
search_for_boss_gsg.pdf
css_menu_writer_2_gsg.pdf

on their server that I could download?

Thanks

Hey OfficeGuy,

Is it only the Getting Started Guides that you cannot download? If you aren't having issues downloading PDFs from other locations on WebAssist, then this might help us pinpoint the cause of this. We made a few changes a while back to resolve any PDF issues, but it seems as though a few users are still having problems.

As a quick test, i have copied these three files to the How Tos directory. If you can view these, then we'll try to take a look at any differences between the two locations.
css_menu_writer_2_gsg.pdf
css_sculptor_3_gsg.pdf
search_for_boss_gsg.pdf

Let us know if this works.

All three of these open right up with the standard left-click and I was able to save all of them in less than a minute.

I would say it's the directory that's the problem. Maybe shortening the name of the folder would help.

Thanks for the feedback. Now we have something we can look into and hopefully resolve this.

We also hope to have these all moved to our HTML format very soon. So, that will alleviate some of these issues as well.

Any chance you could copy the getting started guides to an alternate folder while you're working on this?

We've moved the getting started guides to a folder named 'gsg' instead of 'getting-started-guides' making the paths much shorter.

Hopefully this solves the issues some people were having.

Let us know if they persist, or if you come across any broken links that need updating.
