Build a new website with content management

If you are using our site-building tools in Design Extender to create a new Dreamweaver website, you can simply check a checkbox to add manageable content areas to each page and automatically generate the administrative CMS website, PowerCMS, as your pages are generated. If it sounds easy... well, it is.

Add a CMS to your existing Dreamweaver site

If you already have a Dreamweaver website or are building one without Design Extender's Site Sculptor wizard, you can easily select content anywhere on your website and use a wizard to define your selection as a content-managed area. When you click Finish in the wizard, the administrative CMS website, PowerCMS, will be generated for you.

Manage PowerCMS

Whichever scenario above you choose, the same administrative content management system gets generated. We call the generated administrative website PowerCMS. PowerCMS gives you the ability to:

Edit and delete content in any content management area

Three flexible ways to edit your content

Content edits can be made in PowerCMS, in Dreamweaver or inline on the website. All edits will be reflected automatically on your website.

The live, current content displays in Dreamweaver for users who want to edit content directly in Dreamweaver instead of logging into PowerCMS. This is particularly useful for web professionals who are maintaining their client's site and want to make content edits at the same time as they are working on other features in Dreamweaver.
