Getting Started with PayPal Bill Me Later Banners - Old

1. Dreamweaver CS4 or higher.
   
2. Site defined in Dreamweaver - Watch video tutorial: Setting up a site in Dreamweaver.
   
3. WebAssist Free Tools extension installed.

4. Web page where you will want to place the banner.
   
5. PayPal business account.

A service from PayPal, Bill Me Later provides your customers with access to financing. You can use their free, ready-made banner ads on your website or in your email campaigns to tell your customers that financing is available while they shop.

Why would you want to use Bill Me Later? For starters, there is no extra charge to you and you get paid the full amount. It also eases the tasks of billing, determining credit risk, and meeting regulatory requirements. Your customers will also like Bill Me Later because it make purchasing your products more affordable. Let's get started with adding the Bill Me Later banner.

1. With a page open in Dreamweaver, go to WebAssist > PayPal > Insert PayPal Bill Me Later Banner to begin the wizard.
   
   
2. The first time you enter the wizard, you need to type in your API credentials to access your Publisher ID.
   
   
3. Click the account profile link to access your first API credential.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Copy (Ctrl or Cmd + C) your WebAssist API User ID and paste (Ctrl or Cmd + V) into the API User ID field.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Click the account profile link again or toggle back (Ctrl or Cmd + Tab) to access your second API credential.
   
   
6. Copy (Ctrl or Cmd + C) your WebAssist Security Key and paste (Ctrl or Cmd + V) into the Security Key field.
   
   
   
   
   
7. Check the box to agree to the PayPal Advertising Program's terms of use.
   
   
8. Enter your email address associated with your PayPal business account.
   
   
9. Click OK.
   
   
   
   
   
10. Your Publisher ID will automatically populate after entering your WebAssist API credentials.
    
    
11. Under Banner Details, you have a choice of two placements.
    
    1. Select website if you intend to place the PayPal Bill Me Later banner on your site.
       
       
    2. Chose the banner dimensions that are appropriate for your page.
       
       
       
       
       
    3. Click OK.
       
       
       
       
       
    4. Select email if you intend to use the PayPal Bill Me Later banner in an email campaign.
       
       
    5. Chose the banner dimensions that are appropriate for your email.
       
       
       
       
       
    6. Click OK.
       
       
       

    
    

12. To edit the API credentials or email associated with the PayPal business account, click the pencil icon and enter the new information.
