Update PowerMessenger to the latest version

What you need to start

1. PowerMessenger already installed.
   
2. The latest PowerMessenger version zip file downloaded from your Download Center.

Update Instructions

1. Extract the contents of the PowerMessenger update zip file.
   
2. Open a connection to your live PowerMessenger files via FTP.
   Or your preferred method for accessing the files you are using for PowerMessenger.
   
3. Create a copy of your existing PowerMessenger in case something goes wrong during the upgrade process.
   
4. In the root of the PowerMessenger update folder, highlight all the files and directories listed and drag them to your live PowerMessenger files to update those files.
   
5. Overwrite all files.
   
6. Open the install_pm folder.
   
7. Copy the webassist folder ( CTRL C in Windows, command C on Macs ).
   
8. Return to the root of the PowerMessenger installation.
   
9. Paste the copied webassist folder into the root.
   
10. Overwrite all files.
    
11. Once all these files and directories have been updated, your PowerMessenger site will be updated to the very latest PowerMessenger.

If any error occurs with your PowerMessenger site, just copy the old files that you backed up, and paste them over the newly updated files, overwriting everything.
